Call for Industry Panel Proposals
Bridging Research, Innovation and Emerging Industry Applications
ICASSP 2027 invites application- and industry-focused panel proposals that explore the
rapidly evolving landscape of signal and information processing technologies and their
real-world deployment.
As AI-driven systems, massive data analytics, ubiquitous sensing, and intelligent
connectivity reshape industries worldwide, ICASSP 2027 seeks panel discussions that
bridge academic innovation and industrial transformation. We invite thought leaders to
discuss how advances in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Internet of Things, Digital Twins,
Robotics and Physical AI, Sustainability, and next-generation communications are driving
emerging applications, market disruption, and cross-sector impact. Signal processing sits
at the heart of this shift, from foundation models for audio, speech, radar, and sensor
data to generative AI and edge intelligence operating under tight power and latency
constraints.
Scope and Objectives
We welcome proposals that foster cross-disciplinary, industry- and application-relevant
conversations between researchers, engineers, and technology leaders. Panels should
move beyond traditional research perspectives to emphasize practical challenges,
deployment experiences, and commercialization opportunities.
We particularly encourage proposals focusing on:
• Emerging industrial applications of signal and information processing (e.g.,
intelligent manufacturing, smart mobility and autonomous driving, digital society,
and sustainable systems).
• Foundation models and generative AI for signals, including large audio and
spoken language models and multimodal perception.
• Translational technologies such as physics-aware neural networks, integrated
sensing and communication (ISAC) for 6G, reconfigurable metasurfaces, and
trustworthy AI.
• Edge AI, TinyML, and energy-efficient on-device processing.
• Security and authenticity of signals, including deepfake detection, forensics, and
privacy-preserving learning.
• Industry perspectives on scalability, robustness, standardization, regulation, and
ethical or sustainability considerations.
• Forward-looking discussions on disruptive or underexplored topics, including
quantum sensing and quantum-enhanced processing or AI-driven signal
intelligence.
Panels should encourage dynamic, interactive discussions rather than formal
presentations, offering multiple viewpoints, highlighting lessons learned, and inspiring
collaboration among academia, industry and standards bodies.
Proposal Guidelines
Proposals are solicited for 60- or 90-minute panels and should allocate at least 15
minutes for audience engagement. Each submission should include:
Panel title
- Topics and a brief justification (approximately 300 words)
- Organizer contact information (affiliation, email, and phone)
- Proposed panelists and their expertise
- Short biographies for organizers and panelists
Proposals should be submitted to the Industry Program Chair by January 30, 2027, via
email: [email protected]
